Her dam, Galatée du Defey, is a daughter of I Love You, World Cup winner in
Vienna 1983, Horse of the Year USA 1983, winner of the GP of Washington,
Toronto and Calgary and sire of very good horses. I Love You is a son of Almé,
undisputed chef de race, out of Elyria, who also produced Jolly Good, the horse
that holds the world indoor puissance record, and is the second dam of Alligator
Fontaine, French National Champion 1999, international Grand Prix winner and
a recognized stallion.
Galatée du Defey descends from Narcisse, dam of the monumental Flambeau
C, Dauphin XII, Baladin II, Roi du Manoir, and of Caméra, who is the dam of
the licensed stallion Muguet du Manoir, and Alcaméra du Moyon. As a second
dam, Caméra produced the international horses Urioso du Manoir ridden by Patrice
Deleveau, Orchestra ridden by Mc Lain Ward and Valiska Forever ridden by
Philippe Lejeune.
Five of BM J’Aime Red’s great-great grandsires are undisputed chef de race: Farn
and Voltaire in Holland, Landgraf I in Holstein, Ibrahim and Nankin in France.
Galatée du Defey is also the dam of Be Eme I Love Red (2002, by Red Devil), stallion
showing in the Young Horses Championship II this year; of Be Eme Galatea
(2003, by Red Devil) exported to Colombia and of BM Don Quijote (2004, by Red
Devil) sold at the 2007 Haras Windcrest Sale.
